Can somebody tell me in this forum which breeders are at this moment the top in Europe
(Beautiful and healthy dogs with à good character) and also important the proces of these litters

Unfortunatly, there's not too much linking with "the best quality" and "the most winning Breeders" since we have chaos in the Breed :(
With DCM rate of over 60% every litter without parents holter tested negative for DCM,(within year or year and half) shouldn't be considered as "healty". This is only the first step.

Germany

You need a lesson in manners.

I asked a polite question about whether registrations had gone down after the cropping docking ban in Germany what is your problem?

if you are a ear- and tailfetishist please visit a dominastudio!

a dobermann is a dobermann, doesnÂ't matter if cropped/docked or not!

I read on here the cropping/ban in Germany went into effect in 1998.

I am curious as to what effect it had on Doberman registrations after the ban went into effect.

Did it affect the Breeders being able to sell their puppies?

I'm on another Forum and 2 of the Members moved to Germany and brought their all natural Dobermanns with them they stated Germans didn't recognize them as Dobermanns which I thought was strange. This would mean Dobermanns are not longer popular in Germany.

Thank You

so sad to see, that it is necessary for such a kennel like "van neerlands stam" to make cheap advertisments for selling puppies on a chatboard. bad marketing in my opinion. such a name deserves a decent presentation. do it like all others here and pay for an advertisment. otherwise soon the name "van neerlands stam" will be known for cheap spam and not for excellent dogs as it once was ! i am simply disgusted !

Of course numbers are dropping down after those bans... Besade, the Breed is loosing quality Breeders who involve into other breeds.
Selling uncropped pups is much harder; even famous breeders have problems with sale. Some breeders I know in person tried with uncroped/undocked pups but since they couldn't sale pups, they docked them at age of 2 months or later :(

The America dobermans are distinctly different from Euro dogs. And with Euro adding ears and tails the breeding considerations change - and therefore other factors come into the gene pool.

A famous example is the silverfox the Russians tried to domesticate. Different expressions of the genes were found in the domesticated vs. wild foxes.

So too the Dobermans bred for specific tail expressions, ears also will introduce new genes into the lines and fundamentally change the Doberman.

It only makes genetic sense to preserve them as separate species if they are to survive.

And only a lack of knowledge in breeding and history would 'poo-poo' the concept of dividing the American & Euro types.

Why are we trying to rip each other apart on the chatboard we all own Dobermanns we all think our dog is the best that is why we show and work our dogs but until we start to be honest and admit our animals have faults or our breeding program has not worked or we have had a dog with DCM lets get it all out in the open it saves all the rumours and this infighting this does nothing for the Dobermann I have been in Dobermanns since 1962 so can remember a lot of the old breeders and this is not what they expected of the future owners of the Dobermann we are about to reach the end of another year lets try and kick start 2013 with only one goal in mind that is to improve the dog we call the DOBERMANN.

Farid babe, are you now advertising your stud?

Nobody will take away that shiny cup from your hands. Relax.

We were talking about Pride of Russia kennel, not about you or your dog. Why did you get so upset and defensive?

I am sure you are great judge of characters but please, do share your knowledge about QWERTY litters and their fine representatives. Merci.

Dear Germany,
You are, certainly, have a good reason not to tell your name.
Please, don't forget that Pride of Russia recent breeding is not only the U-litter. I don't know sufficiently well the caracter of U-litter dogs to speak about them. But I know the caracter of some other dogs from another litters (such as K, O, S, Y, R, B for example), so I can speak about them.

Yes, I have shown my emotions in the final IDC ring, but not because of the disbelief, but because of the stress I had for all theese years when I was always believing that my dog deserved winning this title. Yes my dog won this title after several attempts, and there are a lot of dogs returning in IDC several times, but I don't know any other dog than Kaspij for maybe 20 last years to be 4 times class winner in IDC in 4 participations beeing 4 years old and to be IDC Sieger and IDC Jg Sieger. You can say whatever you want on me or my dog in this IDC, but for me it was the most happy moment from all my participations in dog shows and this moment belongs to me for ever.

"Please, don't get me started"
I don't know whoyou are, what do you want to start or not to start, what kind of proove of what you intend to say do you have, so it is up to you to start or not to start whaever you want. I have my convictions, I have nothing to hide even my name.

Farid

"And who really cares for Pride of Russia and their silly dogs?! "

A lot of people does, in fact. Pride of Russia dogs are very successfull in shows all over the Europe by winning the biggest titles with different judges. Just look to the IDC results for the last 4 years

*Yes, after several attempts you finally made it and weeped in disbelief.

"I will not say anything about the character of Pride of Russia dogs because we had more than one opportunity to see them in action. "

You are right there is nothing to say, besides 1 accident on IDC this year by a dog shown by a unexperienced handler, came from many thousands of kms and taking part in such a big show for the 1st time in their life, so you can imagine the stress.

*I see. How about other dogs from that litter. Except for Urwan who FAILED ZTP earler in Russia, his sister Urbanita who FAILED ZTP in Italy, earlier this year and Urano who was prohibited from even trying for a year by our great President personally!!!!!! Curiously enough he did let the dog pass, but with one mark lower than you would like to suggest with this Prideful bragging. Or perhaps their littermate - Ursus?
What kind of stress are you talking about? Most of the competitors crossed thousand or more kilometers but only Urwan attacked the judge and it has nothing to do with first time show but with dog out of control and willing to snap!!! The dog that FAILED German breeding test just a few weeks before IDC!!!!!!! His brother was not better in finals too!!!!!!!!!!

Shall we perhaps mention certain Pride of Russia dog living in Germany and his suspicious IPO exams or disturbed health, all hidden from the publicity?

Please, don't get me started.

"Look at their recent breeding, half of their dogs, mostly males, look like Rotts with long hair and duck faces..."

I am looking too and even better than you, because I have one of them to look at every day in live. But still I don't see any long hair or duck faces. Even from the matings with the outside kennels sires having a long haired dogs in their pedigrees (I am not giving the names, but I could) the Pride of Russia dogs don't have a long hair.

"...while their females have almost no upper arm, a problem that goes back to their iz Doma Domeni origins by the way."

I have never seen any dog with "almost no upper arm", did you? I agree that some dogs from Pride of Russia have the upper arms a bit shorter than it should be, so what? There are no perfect dogs, or maybe only in your backyard and it should be so marvellous that you don't dare to show such a beauty ;)
And, by the way, the lack of the perfect proportion between the upper hand and the other part of the front legs are not coming from iz Doma Domeni, but it comes from Jivago - Nicolai side, so you are wrong again.

"I will not say anything about the character of Pride of Russia dogs because we had more than one opportunity to see them in action. "

"Nothing to be proud of really!"

Of course, you can do better. Why didn't I ever heard about your own bred dogs? They are, certainly, all champions of...of....your own sofa championship :)))

I am very proud with my dog and not only for the titles he won but first of all for the dog he is. And I know a lot of Pride of Russia dogs owners feeling the same.

"Pride of Russia got a start-up thanks to Euro-Dinamika and Sharon IZ ZOOSFERY. Now, their dogs are winning nice and big. "

And who really cares for Pride of Russia and their silly dogs?!
Look at their recent breeding, half of their dogs, mostly males, look like Rotts with long hair and duck faces while their females have almost no upper arm, a problem that goes back to their iz Doma Domeni origins by the way. I will not say anything about the character of Pride of Russia dogs because we had more than one opportunity to see them in action.
Nothing to be proud of really!

About Mr. Rosenberg, hats off but the quality of his dogs can vary from time to time. Being first breeder in post war (not post - Soviet! because he's into Dobermanns for 4 decades now) Russia doesn't do him justice either.
And if you look at his, as you say, post-Soviet breeding you will easily notice the obvious presence of post-Neêrlands Stam dogs. If you ask me, Zoosfery dogs vere never serious about character, it was always about looks and nothing else.

Do your homework and stop fantasizing over internet photos boy!

And this travesty over Neêrlands Stam from Italy is just as hilarious.
