- Croatia, you obviously missed the point of that post. If someone claims some show being a set up in advance, you can't just say "So what?" otherwise anything goes and only one thing is possible - for a fixer to win. Also, it is one thing to LIKE (and breed) and completely different to JUDGE. First should exclude the latter. A proper judge should carry rather large responsibility on his/her shoulders. It is not just a matter of knowledge it is also a question of face. Some judges have both, and some choose to leave the rings in disgrace.

- And why not?! They are official breed judges and Dobermann Club leadership, while Rosenberg is just a breeder with judging license and has almost zero influence to the breed.

In order not to show your ignorance, don't post. Just a piece of advice. Maybe certain thoughts should be left just as thoughts...

To assume that A judge is going to favor dogs belonging to some breeder is just an ASSUMPTION until proven right based on facts and evidence. Until then, this sounds more like shallow gossip or jealosy or, as I said, plain ignorance.

To say which judge is better is a matter of personal opinion or preference. To start, they all get educated the same way. The learn the same breed standard. How their vision about the breed differs should not describe them as good or bad judges. Results should.

There have been a lot of negativity about all the German judges mentioned in the post. And only because of the results, not gossip or speculation. If one judge places a certain dog high and most people behind the ring disagree or even booo - that's should be a red flag. If Mr. Rozenberg places Maxim first and other breeders, handlers and doberman owners express their disagreement in a vocal way, then maybe we can call it favoritism and unjust judging. Was it like this @ that show? Or was it applause that a good and worthy dog won?

Now go on youtube and study videos of the finals @ IDC 2011 and @ IDC 2012. How did the crowd react to the placements. That's your best way of seeing which judge favors who.

Anyway, Mr. Rozenberg shaped up the Doberman breed in post-Soviet Russia. He owns the oldest kennel in Russia. And to call him "just a breeder" is ignorant to say the least. His dogs are all over the world. Pride of Russia got a start-up thanks to Euro-Dinamika and Sharon IZ ZOOSFERY. Now, their dogs are winning nice and big. Many scandinavian and baltic countries had his dogs in their breeding programs. Korifey iz Zoosfery was regularly bred in the UK. Nestor iz Zoosfery had a large impact. Etc etc.
I also think that he is a wonderful judge. I'd value his opinion over anybody else, to be honest with you. Mind I don't own any of his dogs nor do I communicate with him however I will never call him "just a breeder". He is always very friendly and thorough while judging. If he favors a dog, then he has a reason to do so. Based on his experience and vision.

so sad to see, that it is necessary for such a kennel like "van neerlands stam" to make cheap advertisments for selling puppies on a chatboard. bad marketing in my opinion. such a name deserves a decent presentation. do it like all others here and pay for an advertisment. otherwise soon the name "van neerlands stam" will be known for cheap spam and not for excellent dogs as it once was ! i am simply disgusted !

I think you should look somewhere else than here, and the you should hear both sides before you judge. Most of the stories I have heard from unsatisfied puppy buyer I just can say that is their own fault. I have never met Mr. Purgaj ,but I know some dogs out of his breed and they are very good , not only confirmation but also in work.

Yes , Ottmar Vogel is a Dobermann judge .He was too good for Wibli so DV had to remove him. He and his wife are now breeding Rottweiler I think.

On the contrary. The rest of the Europe is in BIG problem, because despite the real quality German club will always stand behind German dogs.

If it is only one fair , than maybe we have some hope.Most of as wish to have fair judging.Fair judging will bring dogs on show.Will see, this results on DV are interesting, if he is fair judge he will have a lot of judging in next show season.:)
