Graaf Quirinus van Neerlands Stam, at 9 years

15.09.1987 a remarkable litter was born in the "van Neerlands
Stam" kennel. Remarkable because neither the dam nor the
sire were carrying the blood of the old famous van Neerlands
Stam lines going back to the fourties to Gravin Diana or Graaf
Dagobert van Neerlands Stam. Ms.V.Knijff-Dermout had bred
for the last years so closely that I as her new partner in 1984
thought that it was right to buy a bitch out of a bloodline
that had nothing to do with the "van Neerlands Stam"
lines. By doing this it was possible for us to bring new blood
in our lines by mixing the blood of this new bitch with our
bloodlines. I talked this over with the old lady and she agreed
under the condition that the bitch would be out of a well known
kennel and with more than excellent qualities. So I suggested
to buy a female puppy out of the "von Franckenhorst"
kennel, the most influential kennel in Dobermann World in last
20 years. Right at that moment they had the so called "D"
litter out of Arrow v. Harro's Berg and Vivre Vivien
v. Frankenhorst, a combination which doubled up the excellent
"V" litter of v. Franckenhorst. Besides, in this combination
we also found the magic triangle Odin v. Forell - Bryan
v. Forell - Chico v. Forell which worked wonders
because it combined the elegance with the smooth and the rough.
So I was convinced of the high quality of the litter and much
more important of the strong hereditary powers of the litter
(this was proved several years later by the influence of this
litter on the Dobermann breed in Europe, U.S.A. and in Japan
through Dobermanns like Dara, Dolly, Dea Dolores and Dexter
v. Franckenhorst). |
