STUDS, Fully Health tested

STUDS, Fully Health tested

Unread postby bmgillespie » Mon Jan 31, 2011 10:43 pm

As a future breeder who will want to purchase, semen from studs in the future, I would like to start a thread that will let me know which stud to choose. Since , I do not live in Europe and attend shows, I am not concerned about who is latest champion as mucjh as I am concerned about health and character. So , I would like to start this post, to see if people are really concerned about health or just looks and breeding. All of my dogs are in the process of being completely health tested, . I am talking about vWD, hips, elbows, eyes, heart, thyroid and yes the current DCM test and any other I may have missed. It concerns me that none of the top dogs seems to have been completly health tested. The closest top studs I have found to be tested are Urbano, Zordon and Maxim di Altobello have all but DCM test and that is good. Especially for me since I own puppy from all of them. Let's post others and for puppy buyers a Feamle site would also be great so that we as buyers can purchase puppies for health as well as show. I applaud Urbano owner for getting vWD test and would suggest DCM test, though I personally have one of his sons who tested clear for both vWD and DCM, his hips , elbows and I hope to be posting all reluts of my dogs here soon, whatever the results. To me this would be even a better way to sell your puppies than winning a few shows. I would rather pay cost for a heallty dog then a show dog who dies early and I am sure most people would. We know test as well as pedigree do not guarentee this, but it is a start.

I would like to add that another of my favorites has all but DCM and hope owners get that done. Grand Mollis Armani. Hilo von Nemesis is also very well tested in fact he is the most tested stud becasue he als has his thyroid test, which I notice is missing from my previous three and is a very important test.

As I thought, this is going to be a very unused topic .
Let's hope in the future it will be used more. :(

Czech Male stud dog?

Unread postby denissov43 » Thu Mar 03, 2011 8:35 am

Thor Toskar z Helfstyna
this dog is owned by a Veterinarian and states that he is Cardio free...
He also has a very unique, genetically diverse Pedigree from what you see in Europe right now.
Does anyone know anything about him?
