Gladio
Nero kennel has been recognized by the FCI in July 2001, so
the kennel is quite recent. In 80's "dobermann fashion"
exploded in Bologna and many of my friends had these magnificent
dogs with "pompous names"! I bought my first Dobermann
in a pet shop in Bologna, a brown male from Hungary. I named
him Beep. When Beep died I went to Vergiate (close to Milan)
to buy a puppy from a professional breeder and I brought home
Ulrik dei Nobili Nati, a powerful black male, son of the champion
Quinn dei Nobili Nati. Ulrik never partecipated on any exposition
or gatherings, he was the family dog, a friend, the true master
of the garden. In 1996 Ulrik died for kidney failure.
In that period I was on relashion Genoa-Milan, I suffered
from a lack of such a dog, so every now and then I went to
visit a dog training court in Genoa. The chief of the training
court told me where to find a "true champion" so
I went to this famous italian kennel and, at a high price,
I bought an 8 months puppy, my "future champion"!
Back in Bologna with the dog, after a few weeks I reconsidered
the warning of my coach and I gave the puppy back to the breeder
because it was not exactly the kind of Dobermann I was looking
for. After a long day of discussion and after paying some
more money, the breeder replaced the puppy with another one.
Unfortunately, I had met with the wrong breeder because
also the second puppy did not have the characteristics and
the potentials to become a champion and I gave it to a friend.
Coach Silvano told me to visit a kennel with puppies in Vergiate
so, for the second time in my life, I went to the Nobili Nati
kennel where I bought my first dobermann female, and I bought
Prada dei Nobili Nati (Ch. Dior For Regent Blue x Mizar dei
Nobili Nati). With Prada I started to participate in the dog
shows in Italy and other countries, two IDCs, and I took her
to trainings. In October 98 Prada had her first mating
with the Multi Champion Jivago v.h. Wantij. I have been the
first Italian breeder to use this dog. From this mating whelped
Ardiata Gladio, a beautiful brown female.
Now I own four dobermanns, one male and three females: Rafael
Vincente del Citone, Prada dei Nobili Nati, Balibelelei and
Ardita Gladio.
