We are two animal lovers, ANASTÁCIA with
her Foxes and Westies, and CÂNDIDO with his Dobermanns
and Bouvier des Flandres.
Nowadays we breed for breeds: Dobermann, Fox Terrier, West
Highland White Terrier and Bouvier des Flandres.
All the breeding have their beginning and a way of beginning.
We started buying a Dobermann to keep us company and to guard
our house. Yet this Dobermann, our DOB was grey
and very beautiful. His colour was a problem and some time
after having him with us. His fur started to fall and he got
bald. We were informed by the vet that this was irreversible
and we got so sad that we decided to buy a new Dobermann,
a black one.
After researching for a white we found a litter.
Among the ten puppies there was a little girl, the smallest
and yet the most defiant one .We decided to buy her. A few
days after the breeder didnt want to sell her because
he had been informed that female, although the smallest, was
the best on the litter.
As she was the one available, and the one on no one wanted,
when we saw the litter, we give up on her, and after a white
we went to get her. Our ASTRA had come, and through
the few days she lived with us she was happy and made us very
happy. She lived with DOB, her very best friend.
She was only a few months old when the breeder asked us to
go to a Specialised Dog Show, so he could present the puppies
with their mother. Thats how we started in the dog shows
which we didnt know at all.
In our second dog show, among so many breeds, there was one
that got Anastacias attention. A FOX TERRIER. She spent
hours admiring the way the dog was being prepared. She fell
in love with it and three days after we had our TACY. Our
family started growing: DOB, ASTRA, TACY.
When we went to the dog shows both TACY and ASTRA travelled
in the some box. Everyone was amazed by this fact but they
were friends, werent they?
Thats how we started and how we still go on nowadays.
In the meanwhile the first Westie came as a birthday present
for one of our daughters, as well as the Bouvier des
Flandres acquired to guard the house during the night
because the Dobermanns fell cold in the winter.
We are not jus breeders, we love our four leg friends in such
a way that we cant go out without taking one or two
dogs.
In what concerns breeding, our main goal is to achieve perfection
both in morphologic and psychological way. Adding beauty to
the open mind of our dogs we think we are in the right path
to the presentation of the species and for others to see the
good things our dogs possess.
With this spirit we will continue betting
in their beauty and character.
