The last year gone a "popular stud" - Inaqui de Black Shadow. No obduction was made - we will see in future like many other popular studs Nello's Lex Luthor - Ikarus v.d. Kollau - Gino Gomez del Citone and so on...

In every line are problems but we must know the "good" and "bad" results out of a breeding. Yes DCM is all around but the percentage in a LITTER is between 0 % up to 95 % of affected dogs. Bitten published all about her breeding dogs - where are all the other breeders?
The lies like a snake bit in russia - Arbat Aldo. lol Now after years we see the truth behind what this "popular stud" has given to his progency.
For longevity the best combination is del Citone + is Slavnoi Stai :-)
I respect breeders like v. Leidenschaft or like this
www.zv-dobermanns.ru/Eng/Memo.htm
because they are honest...

Hello,
I would like to ask all who is on here, how could the problems of these dogs www.leidenschaftkennels.ca/dobelitters.htm have been avoided. She did the necessary testing and problem still occurred. She was at least honest enough to say what happened. I and I know everyone else would like to know what people thought was the problem without talking around it. This is what the forum is for. We all know that all lines can have these problems. If, people get offended then they should not be on the forum. We are tryiong to better the breed. All lines are affected with problems, we have established than a thousand times over. We will NEVER clear them, so lets talk about the dogs with problems (that we know have problems). There weill be losses amonst all of them, some greater than others and those are the ones we need to identify. I am bmgillespie from the U.S. I do not have a problem identifying myself.

When I ask if you understand (me) I write your name and not your kennel name and I ask if you understand my personal genetically prefferances.
I remember what Baksal public say some time ago, over the bloodlines , today we must to search INDIVIDUAL.

No, I do not understand you personal preferences - the link showed exactly what not to look for / do - informations like these are of high value, and to anyone, but it's not the common results from so-called working combinations.

I do NOT try to bring discussion on particular mode, about Bitten dogs.
I try to explain my personal prefferances about some lines.

then you should have said so, and chosen another reference - plenty of dogs/combinations with that problem, where my kennel is not represented :)

I cant understand y admitting a poroblem can be wrong. It is not pleasant but it is start and a chance for everyone to "clean" their lines.

@ Romania
Bingo died with 6 and the mother of this litter is alive and 12 years old. So why is Jotunheim's kennel a problem? Another dog which died from DCM is Deacon Germania (5). Why do you think that Bitten's kennel is a problem in this pedigree?

The final is sad :
"Until such time as we are able to fully research the health and longevity of a working line, we will not be breeding any Dobermanns."
--
the same goes for longlevity within so-called show lines, as it's just as difficult to obtain valid information here.

No, I do not ... Yes, one of our offsprings are within the pedigree, but she's merely one out of four. How owners of our dogs breed them, we have no influence on.

If some breeders have a name, they think to be able to do everything
There are also in the Dobermannworld some fraudsters.
Please do something against this....
