|
|
I have visited a couple of USA Doberman forums where some breeders and show people seem to like to degrade the European titles awarded to our dogs over here and often question how the dogs get these titles. INTERNATIONAL WORLD CHAMPION is one title often laughed at in America because one person has written on a forum that this title is given to a dog who wins one time at one show. Could you please explain where these people can go and look at an explanation of what the titles are a dog can earn and what he has to do to earn them? And how many judges look at the dog to make the decision? As a person living in Europe with a Doberman from europe, it irritates me to read these things people like to say about we europeans and how our dogs are titled. I appreciate your answers. _________________ "The more people I meet the more I like my dog." - Unknown |

There are some "dissident", non FCI dogclubs that give away these kind of fantasy titles.
I know of one case when a World Champion title was given to a dobe at a "show" on the parking space of a supermarket. The dogs were judged while sitting in the car. |

Thanks for responding. So are you saying that any title not FCI is potentially false and all titles that are FCI are valid? Because that would be a good system for determination of true titles. One would ask oneself simply "is this an FCI show or something else?". Am I right? _________________ "The more people I meet the more I like my dog." - Unknown |

Yes, the rules for FCI titles are the same, worldwide (within FCI).
For example: The World-Champion-Show (all Breeds) of the IRV will be held there: http://www.gasthaus-am-museumshof.de/
So you can imagine, that there will be not more than 50 dogs in total.
Each a "World Champion" |
