Hi and I am noticing some from DT. 
Very nice site and forum. I'm very interested in any insight and perspective on the prevalence of DCM in dobermans. Any research on new testing discovery and in particular I'm looking for studies or research that demonstrate differences in DCM between AKC and other lines of Dobermans around the world. Any reference material would be greatly appreciated.

While this represents only one element of this condition, you may be interested in the relatively new testing being done by Washington State University. I ordered a kit for use with my two dogs and will be testing all future dogs, in an effort to gain whatever additional info I can on their predisposition for this disease (keeping my fingers crossed they're negative). Thought I’d share with you. The cost is $60/dog unless you are doing five or more (then you get a $9/dog break).
