Hello from a new member

Helllo!

Let me introduce myself, my name is Rj and I live in the Tacoma, WA area. While I don't have a dobbie yet, my wife and I are talking about getting a GKC dobbie in the future. My family has a long line of dobbies, and so I already know the breeder I will get my GKC dobbie from as his dogs are Schutzhund II and III champion bred.

Anyway ... while I'm used to being around dobies, this will be my first venture into the world of Schutzhund.

My wife is alone much of the time and we live in a large home and she wants a dog for protection...

I don't care so much about the protection aspect so much, but do want the sence of pride of having a dog that is Schutzhund III trained. And the man/dog trust and comradery (sp?) that comes with it.

Anyway, I'm a real noob... LOL but wanted to introduce myself. =)

Hello,

If you get yourself a ScH III dog is it not sure that the dog protect you.ScH dogs are sportdog and most of them very friendly . If you want a dog for protection then you should buy a protection dog and not ScH dog. But a I am sure people in a dog club will advice you about that.
