I am looking for a Dobie in the NJ, PA, and NY area. I have researched several thus far. I have come up with 3 working bloodline doberman breeders. Tell me what you think.
Cara Dobermans www.caradobe.com
Bell"Lavoro Dobermans www.belllavorodobes.com
Von Schlottke Dobermans www.vonschlottke.com
Just to give you more background. Recently I have noticed my Dobie become increasingly intolerant to exercise. Additionally on several occasions Ronin would have spells of rapid, nasal breathing. I took Ronin to the Vet and he was initially diagnosed with an arrhythmia. He currently has an appointment next Thursday with a Cardiologist, at Red Bank Animal Hospital. It is likely that he may have Dilated Cardiomyopothy. My breeder, said he does have DCM in his line. I believe his Grand Father, had DCM. Ronin will be 6yrs old in September. He is far and away the best dog that I have ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with. He is a loyal family protector with unwavering loyalty. He is intelligent and affectionate. He has been obedience and protection trained. My only regret is that I did not take the opportunity to title him in any sanctioned trials. I believe titling your Canine is a testament to how special your Dobie really is. I will not make the same mistake with my next dog. My focus now is to continue to give my Dobie the best life possible not matter how long that may be.
Having said that I am not in the market at this time but will be and would like to make contacts with good working bloodline breeders so that I can be put on a waiting list. I want the best possible dog, for my needs, as well as needs of the dog. A good fit.
My only problem is no one is getting back to me. Is this a common thing. I have emailed several unnamed breeders and none have gotten back to me yet. Some over a week ago. So for now I am doing my homework. I could use all the help I can get.
I am open to any suggestions that you may have. I want a good working prospect for Obedience and Protection. Specifically the Service Dogs of America Police Dog Cert. and AKC Advanced Obedience. _________________ J.Mac's Ronin Von Teufel Hunden |

Hey Tuefel. Think I've seen you in DC. If so I would direct you to Do'Urden and Pendragon kennels in Ocala, FL. and Bitten in Demark.
Good luck with Ronin [hmm]. Even if there are problems, supportive work can help have a extended good life. Try CoQ10.
